From the location of Silverstone at the heart of Formula 1, to Blenheim Palace and Jaguar Land Rover, our premium marquees have been delighting guests, employees and delegates for over 15 years. Key Roles & Responsibilites:
To ensure the safe and efficient installation and de-rig of all power, lighting and other electrical requirements on all Fews Marquees Structures (temporary and long term hire)
To ensure designated jobs are delivered on time, to specification and to budget, leading by example and motivating any assigned team, to achieve the required objectives.
To safeguard health and safety on site at all times, both personally and in relation to clients and the extended delivery team (including sub contractors).
To take overall responsibility on site for electrics, ensuring client’s expectations are met, their property respected and jobs (including all client paperwork) are signed off appropriately while on site.
To take overall responsibility at the yard for the electrical store and all equipment within it, including PAC testing and repairs. To conduct frequent stock checks, making recommendations for replacement/additional stock when appropriate.
To ensure proper preparation has been done before leaving for any job
To be the first point of contact for all Lead Foremen, Riggers, Clients and sub contractors in relation to electrical requirements, to ensure seamless integration of their services
To ensure all vehicles are loaded/unloaded correctly and electrical equipment is treated with respect at all times
To keep the Operations Manager informed of progress on all designated jobs
To take overall responsibility of the quality of the instillation/dismantle of the electrics
To be part of an ‘on call’ rota with other foremen for emergencies
To assist other team members when appropriate for the benefit of the company
To perform additional duties as delegated by the Senior Lead Foreman and Head of Operations (both in peak and off peak seasons), such as refurbishing equipment, cleaning, re-organising etc. in quieter periods
Work in the marquee hire industry preferred but not essential
Experience of Roder Premium and Clearspan an advantage
English as a first or second language as all marquee structures will be erected in the UK
Confident, motivated and enthusiastic with high standards and the ability to deliver jobs on schedule. You’ll be responsible for delivering a great product and service to our clients. You must have a positive influence on your team and present our clients with a professional ‘can do’ attitude. You’ll need to be well presented, committed, punctual, trustworthy and fun.
