This is a beautiful 40ft, insulated yurt and is available because its present site is about to be redeveloped. It has been used as a restaurant, party venue and communal space at events. It was made by one of the countries premier yurt builders, Wildwood Yurts of Cumbria.

It has three doors, six windows (with weather proof covers) and a perspex central roof light. The quilted insulation is white lined and is covered by heavy-duty dark green canvas. The large wood-burner with safety rail, and wooden floor are included. The floor is made in sections for easy transport and storage. The wood-burner and insulation means the yurt can be used all year round.

This is a wonderful structure which impresses everyone who enters. The price is for collection from its current location near Frome in Somerset which is the best value if you are happy to erect it yourself. If not it can be delivered and erected by the original builders at additional cost to be agreed. Come and see it for yourself. It makes a really splendid public venue for celebrations, eating and dancing - or a quiet and tranquil space for teaching, meditation, treatments or just relaxing.

The photos show details of the quality of the yurt including: sturdy double doors; window with netting fly-screen, removable weatherproof pvc window for increased ventilation in summer, and storm cover to protect the window in poor weather; trellis with strong steel wire rim-rope and; mid-posts with steel purlin brackets. This is a quality product and still supported by the original makers.

It is a solid construction, built to withstand strong winds and can remain up in all weathers. The roof cover is in two parts with internal and external overlapped lacing. The wall sections between the three sets of doors hang from the wire rim-rope and are covered with a weather strip to prevent wind-lift and draughts. Walls are pegged to the ground approx every 18 inches. There is also a four-legged canvas storm strap and rope which goes around the crown of the yurt and is pegged to the ground independently of the rest of the structure. This yurt will not blow away or be damaged by wind.

The maker are able to provide all parts including covers and will train owners in construction, disassembly and maintenance. The cost of the course is included in the price - or will be deducted from the price if you do not need it.
