Purchased 2nd hand in 2014 for a party and used again in May 2024 for a wedding.There are 2x 9m x 9m marquees with guttering between.
The roofs have numerous pin prick holes which were taped prior to purchase in 2014 and the tape withstood the deluge of 22/5/24. Once the linings are up the tape cannot be seen from inside. The sidewalls are from a variety of ex hire companies. In 2014 there were no windows and I bought the wrong type for this frame but adapted them using carabiners and eyelets so that there are 8 windows (4 sets of 2). I have had to stitch some small holes in some of the linings.
We have 9m x 18m of Rototrac flooring
Approx. 6m x 6m of click connect black and white dance floor.
There are
14x 5ft Round tables
78x Banqueting chairs.
There are chair covers, some of which have never been out of the packaging.
There is a quantity of crockery, cutlery and glassware.
I was really nervous about how water tight the marquees would be after 10 years in storage but apart from needing to make sure the guttering was secured with a good slope for drainage, it coped brilliantly with some awful weather and we had an amazing time in it.
There are easily a few more events left in them for like minded people wanting to do a DIY event but unwilling to pay a fortune in hire costs and willing to do small repairs etc. as needed. Plenty more photos available on request
